Opera HQ

During my three weeks long trip to Scandinavia and the northernmost point in Europe I managed to get to Oslo for one day. Opera HQ was of course one of the objectives. It was Sunday so I haven't met any employee, but I have at least few photos in front of the building.

Me in front of the Opera logo:
Opera HQ 1
Me hugging the Opera logo:
Opera HQ 2
Me and my two companions having lunch right next to (and actually also under) the Opera HQ.
OPera HQ 3

I also managed to get few photos through the windows

I wonder who won this trophy and what for :)
Opera HQ 4
I also finally saw the legendary Opera sitting pillows
Opera HQ 5

For more you have to visit the place yourselves ;)

I was thinking about it for few days and decided I want to get the B.S. first. I really thank for asking the guys to consider me and I hope you won't mind doing it again once I'll be ready to actually apply for the job

I must say it is extremely tempting :) It would mean to interrupt my studies (as my faculty doesn't offer distance-form of studying), but I think it would be worth it. ... decisions decisions

I mentioned your name to a couple of the key people. I'm now certain you would be considered (getting the job is of course another thing! :)).

However, saying all that if you intend to finish your studies I would not suggest stopping or you may find you are never finished (been there, done that!).

Either decide to finish your studies and just get to the end or apply but understand that if you get the job you may never be finished because you will always find a reason to delay. ;)

You can always apply after your studies as I have no doubt there will be more jobs in the future.

Whilst the B.S. reads like an absolute requirement I suspect there might be some flexibility there. I don't know this for a fact since I did not put up the job advert nor was I involved in its construction but that is my gut feel knowing the team to which the new person would report.

I don't have my B.S. yet :( I could have have it by the start of next summer, but because I keep doing everything else but my university projects I'll have to do one more year.. Other requirements looks fine to me :) (my *fluency* in English might need a month or two but I think I would manage).

I might get to Norway again next summer . My sister lives in Stavanger but you have to fly to Oslo first if you want to get there anyway :) And of course, if Opera will offer some javascript-related internship in Oslo I will apply (again) :)

As I said, the office was empty because it was Sunday. I saw the coffee machine, but the door was closed :P
